OnGas BARCODE TAG

While this is a relatively simple product, the original concept (as presented to Snook Design) would have required a ‘sliding block’ moulding tool to produce the component.  With a bit of creative thinking in the design of the component, Snook Design was able to eliminate the need for a sliding block, therefore significantly reducing the overall tooling cost.

The moulding uses a toothed locking clip, similar in principle to a cable tie, to attach the tag to the valve of domestic refillable gas bottles.  The design also incorporates the embossed OnGas logo and phone number, etc.  The tag accepts a self-adhesive barcode label for tracking bottles, etc.
